How long will the Metrorail track problem between the Dadeland stations continue?

The track problem between Metrorail’s Dadeland North and Dadeland South stations that slowed trains during Tuesday morning’s rush hour was declared over by Miami-Dade Transit’s Twitter feed at 9:40 a.m.

After the problem’s repair, Miami-Dade stopped running the buses between the Dadeland stations. The buses began running as the Dadeland North platform Tuesday morning got more packed than the dance floor Saturday night at the club.

The delays started just before 7 a.m. By 8:10 a.m., Miami-Dade Transit’s social media arm found itself answering a what’s-going-on? tweet from Miami-Dade Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava.

At the explanations that technicians were working on the track, Levine Cava asked: “Is this a temporary situation or do we need major repair?”

MDT tweeted, “This particular issue is temporary.”

Meanwhile, waiting passengers massed and fumed at each station, preferring actual transit movement to body heat in the morning chill.
