Woman walking on Bird Road struck and killed by a car
A elderly woman was hit and killed by a car on Bird Road late Wednesday morning.
At 11:53 a.m., Miami-Dade officers were called to a person struck by a vehicle in the 6000 block of Bird Road, police said.
When police arrived, the woman, whose name was not released, was dead. The driver stayed to talk to police.
How the crash happened is still being investigated, but police believe the woman was walking at the time.
