Police release sketch of man wanted for raping a woman
She was sitting in her friend’s car in West Kendall when a man opened the car door and raped her, according to police.
On Tuesday, Miami-Dade police released a sketch of the man who detectives say was behind this heinous act.
The 43-year-old woman was sitting alone in her friend’s car at about 5:30 a.m. Nov. 16 around Southwest 72nd Street and 157th Avenue, when a man opened the door and said in Spanish, “They abandoned you,” according to police.

Police say the man forcibly moved the woman to the backseat and “sexually assaulted her.” The case is being investigated as a sexual battery, which under Florida law includes rape.
The man left in a blue car, police said.
He is described as in his 30s, 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with an athletic build. He was clean shaven and had black short curly hair.
