Amid domestic dispute, 1 killed in Homestead shooting

One man was killed when a domestic dispute between a married couple escalated inside a Homestead home, authorities said.

Police say that during the argument Saturday, the man began to shoot at his wife, but she was able to escape without injury.

When police arrived, they say the husband had barricaded himself inside of the home at 25400 SW 126th Ct. By the time they got inside at 6:28 p.m., it was too late — the man had fatally shot himself.

Neither the man nor his wife have been identified.
