Boaters ejected in crash near Turkey Point
Four people were injured, including one critically, in a boating accident in the Intracoastal.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday south of Turkey Point in South Miami-Dade.
Officials said the victims’ 20-foot pleasure boat struck a channel marker, causing all four passengers to be thrown from the boat.
Miami-Dade Air Rescue airlifted the trauma victim and a fireboat crew took the other passengers to area hospitals.
It was unclear what caused the boat to hit the channel marker.
