Woman robbing South Dade beauty store with gun drawn caught on video
Miami-Dade police on Wednesday released surveillance video of a woman who walked into a beauty-supply store late last year, pointed a gun and demanded money.
The woman can be seen wearing a pink sweatshirt, and her face is partially obscured with what police describe as white paint. She walks in, pulls a gun from her pants and then proceeds to the counter, where she puts a bag down and then loads it with products and money handed to her by an employee.
Police say the armed-robbery took place Nov. 18 at Ideal Beauty Supply, 22133 S. Dixie Hwy. The woman stole hair products and cash valued at $5,600, police say.
According to police, the woman may have left in a blue or black Volkswagen.
Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
