Inmate airlifted to hospital after fight at Dade Correctional Institution
An inmate at Dade Correctional Institution in Homestead was injured Monday after a fight with another inmate, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.
The fight broke out at about 11:30 a.m. at the facility at 19000 SW 377th St.
The man, who was in critical condition, was airlifted to Kendall Regional Hospital, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
