Two shot men, a damaged car and building were pieces of a crime scene that Miami-Dade deputies discovered near Naranja on Tuesday night, authorities say. What transpired is not yet clear, but the men are being treated at a hospital.

Around 6:10 p.m., a ShotSpotter alert flagged Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies that a shooting might have occurred in the area of Southwest 266th Street and 138th Avenue, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies canvassed the area and found a damaged vehicle and “structure” as well as two unidentified men suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were taken to Baptist Health Homestead Hospital, where one man is in stable condition, and the other is in critical condition.

Detectives are investigating. A motive or what exactly occurred has not been released.
