Man dead after hit by vehicle at construction site near Homestead, deputies say

A man died Tuesday morning after being “struck by a construction vehicle,” near Homestead, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

At around 10 a.m. deputies arrived to the area of Southwest 322nd Street and 205h Avenue after reports of a man hit by a construction vehicle. The man, whom authorities did not publicly identify, was pronounced dead by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

TV station footage shows a body being covered by a yellow tape in the yard of a house. It is unclear if the man killed was working on the site.

MDSO Homicide detectives are investigating.
