Thanksgiving Day stabbing in Homestead leaves two hospitalized, one jailed: cops
A Thanksgiving Day stabbing in Homestead left two people hospitalized and landed a man in jail on attempted-murder charges, police say.
Officers responded to the 800 block of Northwest Fourth Avenue, where they found two people with stab wounds. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue airlifted one victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital, while the other was taken to Homestead Hospital in stable condition.
Police say 34-year-old Carlos Pastor Carrillo fled the scene after the attack but was located and taken into custody and questioned shortly afterward. He is charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Pastor Carrillo is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, jail records show.
