Photos from the scene showed residential streets covered in water, and witnesses say traffic slowed to a standstill, particularly at the traffic circle at Southwest 97th Avenue.

Jennifer Messemer-Skold, spokeswoman for the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department, said the 12-inch underground pipe was reported leaking around 8:15 a.m. and was repaired at 11 a.m.

Messemer-Skold said traffic was impacted from Southwest 212th Street to 216th Street.
