FHP responds to shots fired from car in South Miami-Dade

One person was arrested in South Miami-Dade County Monday night after shots were fired from inside a moving vehicle.

Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alejandro Camacho said a woman in a white Chevy sedan told troopers responding to a crash at Southwest 112th Avenue and 256th Street that someone shot into her car.

She gave troopers a description of the man who fired the gun and his car. Troopers found the vehicle, a black Dodge SUV, in the nearby Spicewood subdivision around 6 p.m., Camacho said. They arrested the driver and located the gun, he said.

The driver of the Chevy had minor injuries from shattered glass, Camacho said. The FHP did not release the names of the suspect or the victim.
