Body found in canal

A body was found in a canal at about 6 p.m. Monday at 122nd Avenue and Southwest 208th Street in south Miami-Dade, police said.

Miami-Dade fire rescue responded to the call. The person died on the scene.

The Miami-Dade police department homicide bureau is investigating the incident.
