Snake slithers its way into a science lesson after being caught by cops
A 9-foot Burmese python was captured outside Homestead Senior High Wednesday morning by several officers.
“Thanks [Miami-Dade Schools Police Department], for catching a python on campus & using it to teach our Bio students about invasive species!” the school tweeted Wednesday afternoon.
The officers took a few moments to pose with the snake.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Venom One Unit responded and removed the snake, which was found in a field near the school, 2351 SE 12th Ave.
