Elderly man injured in Hialeah armed robbery, two in custody

A man was injured and two others placed in custody following an armed robbery at a Hialeah home according to Miami Herald news partner CBS4.

The armed robbery took place inside a home at 575 East 52nd Street Monday afternoon.

According to neighbors, an elderly man lives in the home and was taken away on a stretcher with his head wrapped. His condition is unknown at this time.

Police said two men broke into the home. It is unclear if they got away with anything.

The duo was able to run away from the home but police tracked them to a Taco Bell restaurant located at 501 East 49th St., where Hialeah Police took the two men into custody.

Police have not released the identity of those involved.
