Serial robber wanted by Hialeah police

Police say a brazen bandit who robbed three Hialeah stores at gunpoint over the Thanksgiving weekend is “just getting started.”

The suspect fired his gun into a cooler during the first robbery Saturday afternoon at a dollar store in the 1000 block of East First Avenue. On Sunday, he robbed two other Hialeah stores and a gas station in nearby Miami Springs.

“This guy is just getting started,” Hialeah police spokesman Carl Zogby said. “We need to catch him right away.”

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 120 pounds with a black beard. Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Hialeah police at 305-687-2525.
