A woman was rushed to the hospital after being bitten by a dog in Hialeah home Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police say that they got a call about a dog bite at 1115 W 50th Place. The 57-year-old woman who was bitten was working as a caretaker at the home, according to police.

The dog is quarantined and waiting for animal control. Authorities did not identify the breed of dog.

The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
