Driver runs stop sign and crashes into Hialeah cop. Both hospitalized, police say

A crash involving a Hialeah Police Officer sent two people, including the cop, to the hospital early Friday morning, authorities say.

Hialeah Police say that around 12:45 a.m., a driver in a black Cadillac was going westbound on East Fourth Avenue and 18th Street when they ran a stop sign and crashed into a police car.

The Cadillac driver and the officer were taken to Jackson Ryder Trauma with injuries. Their conditions were not immediately available.
