Miami-Dade police officer hospitalized after car crash near Hialeah, authorities say
A Miami-Dade police officer was rushed to the hospital after a morning crash near Hialeah Thursday, authorities said.
Around 9 a.m., the on-duty police sergeant collided with a medical transport vehicle at the intersection of West Okeechobee Road and State Road 826, Miami-Dade police said.
The sergeant was taken to the hospital in stable condition. While the driver of the medical transport was uninjured, a passenger in the transport vehicle was also taken to a hospital in stable condition.
