He stole frozen chickens from a Hialeah church, cops say. Now he’s in police custody

A Hialeah man was arrested after police say he stole frozen chickens from the pictured church. NBC 6 first reported the incident happened overnight at Iglesia del Nazareno El Buen Pastor, located at 310 East 5th Street.

A Hialeah man was arrested after police say he stole frozen chickens from a local church.

NBC 6 first reported the incident happened overnight at 310 E. Fifth St. A Google search showed the address matched that of Iglesia del Nazareno El Buen Pastor.

The pastor discovered the missing chickens Friday morning and called police.

Surveillance cameras captured the suspect, whom the pastor recognized as part of his congregation, in the act, Hialeah police told NBC 6.

As of Friday evening, the man’s identity had not been released.

He was taken into custody at his home in Hialeah, not even a mile away from the church.
