Hialeah crash kills teen, injures driver
A single car crash early Thursday morning in Hialeah left a teenager dead and a young man in the hospital.
The car slammed into a tree at around 1 a.m. on West 28th Avenue near 59th Street. The impact was so severe that the front of the vehicle was severed in half.
Hialeah Fire Rescue confirmed a 17-year-old female in the passengers seat was killed. Paramedics took the 18-year-old male driver to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
