Liberty City farmer’s market opens

The Liberty City farmer’s market has opened at the Haile Selassie Community Center at 6301 NW Sixth Ave., behind McDonald’s.

The market plans to open year round on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers fresh produce, baked goods, spices, incense, candles, flowers, African clothing and more. There will be live food preparation shows throughout the day.
