Jayla Jones, an 11-year-old being raised in Miami, wore a pink shirt with blue shorts Monday morning.

Nobody has seen her since then. Miami police want help finding her.

Jayla is 5-foot-2, 100 pounds and lives in Little Haiti, in the 100 block of Northeast 67th Street.

Her mother, Nakia Jones, said her daughter said she was going to take out the garbage around 8:30 a.m. She walked out of the house, came back in and grabbed a pink purse and left again. She hasn’t seen her since.

“I just want her to come home,” Jones said, adding her daughter has never done anything like this before.

Anyone who knows anything about where Jayla is or where she has been Monday should call Miami police at 305-579-3449 or 305-603-6300.
