Woman struck by Miami-Dade Transit bus

A woman was rushed to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital Monday morning after she was struck by a bus.

Karla Damian, with Miami-Dade Transit, said the bus hit the woman as it was coming out of the Central Business District stop at Southwest First Avenue and First Street.

Miami Fire Rescue said paramedics performed CPR as she was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
