A bicyclist riding in a Miami neighborhood was struck and killed by a truck Wednesday afternoon, police said. Officer are talking with the driver to figure out what happened.

Around 2:30 p.m., Miami cops rushed to the area of Northwest 36th Street and Northwest 27th Avenue responding to a call of a crash involving a bicyclist and truck, per the department.

The unidentified bicyclist, who appears to be an older man in his 80s, died at the scene, according to police. The truck driver was not injured.

Officers are now questioning the driver, who also has not been identified. It’s not yet clear whether charges will be pursued.

Police have closed Northwest 27th Avenue to Northwest 29th Avenue on Northwest 36th Street as their investigation continues.
