Miami police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon shooting that left a juvenile injured, leading to the detainment of one person.

Around 4:40 p.m., cops rushed to calls of a shooting in the area of North Miami Avenue and 31st Street, near Wynwood, Miami police said. They discovered the juvenile male, whose age has not been released, was driven to Jackson Memorial Hospital by a family member.

The shooting may be connected to a domestic violence incident, authorities believe. One person was detained; police have not said if they will be arrested or later charged.

The juvenile was in stable condition as of Tuesday night.
