This story has been updated. Roads were reopened.

Someone “delivered” a package to the front of the Miami Police Central Station.

But police officers called the package “suspicious” and closed Northwest Second Avenue between Third and Fifth streets as a precaution for a couple hours, the department said in an alert Wednesday morning.

By 11:30 a.m., police identified the package as abandoned luggage, deemed the roads safe, and reopened them.

Police have not offered any more details.
