Streets reopened after suspicious package investigation shut Miami streets

UPDATE: The package was declared safe. The roads have been reopened.

A square of streets in downtown Miami were shut down Tuesday morning while Miami police check out what it’s calling a “suspicious package.”

While cops check out the package at Miami Tower, 100 SE Second St., they’ve closed Southeast Second Street to Southeast Third Street and Miami Avenue to Southeast First Avenue to cars and walkers. This also closes the Knight Center Metrorail station.
