Crash in Doral leaves one dead, car in canal
One man was killed and two men were seriously injured in a Sunday night crash that sent one car into a canal, according to Miami-Dade police.
The accident, involving two vehicles, happened at about 8:15 p.m. at Northwest 25th Street and 117th Avenue.
Rescue divers had to free the driver of the car that landed in the canal, according to a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue tweet. The driver was then taken by ambulance to Kendall Regional Hospital, said Michelle Fayed, a spokeswoman for the Miami-Dade Fire Department.
Fayed said another person, who was in the second vehicle, was flown to Ryder Trauma Center.
It was not clear Sunday night what caused the crash.
