Authorities are searching for a woman who they say stole computer chips worth over half a million dollars on Christmas Eve, according to Doral police.

On Dec. 24, about 11:47 a.m., a woman walked into a Doral FedEx store and showed a fake ID, claiming she was there to pick up packages on behalf of a company she worked for. The packages had computer chips that were worth more than $500,000, according to authorities.

The woman then took the packages and fled.

Surveillance cameras caught her walking outside the 10000 NW 21st St. store and the Nissan vehicle she arrived in.

Detectives are asking the public’s help to identify the woman wanted for theft and fraud. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective J. Garcia at (305) 593-6699 ext. 2514.
