Couple in their 60s found dead in murder-suicide behind strip mall in Doral, cops say
Gunshots behind a Doral strip mall ended the lives of a married couple in their 60s on Wednesday morning, Miami-Dade police said.
Near the intersection of Northwest 26th Street and 87th Court, behind a strip mall with a Dunkin’ Donuts and Quest Diagnostics, police found a man in the car dead from a gunshot wound. His wife was taken to Kendall Regional Center, where she died.
Police believe the 66-year-old husband shot his 62-year-old wife, then turned the gun on himself.
A driver passing by spotted the man agitated and bleeding and stopped to help, according to a police source. The man then shot himself in the chest, the source said.
No identities have been released yet.
