Expect traffic delays near the BankUnited Center Thursday afternoon

As the Premios Juventud awards show takes over the BankUnited Center Thursday night, drivers in Coral Gables should expect delays near the arena on US-1 and Ponce de Leon Boulevard.

The Coral Gables police department said the show — called Univision’s version of the Teen Choice Awards — will cause delays in the area around the center from 2 p.m. until midnight. The red carpet begins at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
