Coral Gables closing out 90th anniversary with party by the pool

Coral Gables celebrated its 90th anniversary over the last year with several events, parties and parades and now the city is closing out the milestone year with a night of music at the Venetian Pool.

The city will host the 90th anniversary final event 7 p.m. Sunday at the Venetian Pool, 2701 DeSoto Blvd. The evening will feature a performance from the Miami Symphony Orchestra under the direction of composer Eduardo Marturet.

Tickets for the closeout event are $90 per person. The city asks that guests wear their best 1920s attire to get in the spirit of the city’s early days. A reservation is required along with the ticket purchase, and there’s a request that guests wear flat shoes.
