Police: Woman sexually battered, robbed in Coral Gables

A woman was robbed and sexually battered as she walked in Coral Gables early Sunday morning, according to police.

The woman was walking on the the 1300 block of Granada Boulevard just before 7 a.m.

Police say the man “grabbed her and sexually battered her and then stole her property.” It was not clear Sunday what was stolen.

Detectives are looking for a man described to be 35 years old, 5-feet 8-inches to 5-feet 10-inches tall and about 170 pounds. The man, who is bald with brown eyes and bushy eyebrows, was last seen wearing a white crew neck T-shirt, blue jeans worn with a belt and blue and yellow colorful sneakers.

The man may be in a white SUV or van, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Coral Gables Police Department at 305-442-1600 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471- 8477 (TIPS).
