Coral Gables Commissioner Vince Lago to host town hall meeting

Coral Gables Commissioner Vince Lago is hosting a town hall meeting to allow residents a chance to discuss the latest proposed developments across the city, traffic concerns, parks and other topics.

The meeting will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the War Memorial Youth Center Theater, 405 University Dr.

Residents are encouraged to join in on the conversation which will also touch on police and public safety, sustainability efforts, the city’s permitting process and downtown development.

“I noticed there wasn’t really an opportunity outside the commission meetings for people to have a forum,” Lago said.

The meeting will feature presentations from staff members in each city department and the rest of the meeting will be reserved for residents to ask questions.

“It’s a great opportunity for the staff to have their finger on the pulse of what the residents and businesses want,” Lago said.
