The Coral Gables Art Cinema will show a screening of the movie, Phantom of the Paradise, at midnight Saturday.
Gloria Estefan will host a Q & A before the screening, along with a surprise guest from the original movie cast. The 1974 film is loosely based on The Phantom of the Opera, The Picture of Dorian Gray and Faust.
The theater, 260 Aragon Ave., is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the camp horror classic. The production is a venture between the Cinema and the Secret Celluloid Society’s After Hours series. The group, started by Estefan’s son, Nayib Estefan, screens cult movies at the cinema.
The Q & A begins at 11:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $11.50 at GablesCinema.com.
