Coral Gables police investigating thefts from residents’ front steps

Police are investigating a string of burglaries from June 3 through July 2 in Coral Gables in which packages were stolen from the victims’ porches or front steps.

Home-surveillance cameras recorded each incident.

In the 900 block of Palermo Avenue, a $250 pair of shoes was stolen. A blonde woman in a hat was caught on tape stealing a package of $120 decorative lanterns in the 1600 block of Galiano Street.

In the 500 block of Valencia Avenue, cameras caught a man walking up the front steps of a home and taking a package of $10 tooth brushes. A woman with brown hair was caught on surveillance stealing a package that contained a $25 bed skirt in the 1200 block of Columbus Boulevard.

Police ask anyone with information on the burglaries to call the Coral Gables Police Department at 305-442-1600 or Miami Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
