The Venetian Pool in Coral Gables is allowing paws in the pool.

On Oct. 5, the pool will let pups swim in the pool, as part of its annual “Paws In The Pool” event.

Doors will open for two sessions to accommodate both small and large dogs. Participants must bring proof of current rabies vaccination and pick up after their pet.

Session 1 will be for small dogs only (30 pounds and under) and will run from 10.am. to 1 p.m.

Session 2 will be for the bigger dogs from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Only those accompanied by a dog will be permitted to enter the facility. Tickets will be sold at the door at $5 per dog and $3 per human.

The dog must be leashed when not in the pool. Angry dogs will be kicked out.
