The Burn Notice crew was out filming on Friday in Coconut Grove. They were just a block away from their studio, filming at the Ritz-Carlton entrance at 27th Avenue and Tigertail, their studio is at 27th Avenue and S. Bayshore Drive. This was the first episode of the new season. Above is Jeffrey Donovan, star of the show. It's amazing how close to home they stay when they can. Many of the scenes which look like they are far away are sometimes mere feet from their studio. The Carlito's restaurant set is literally a few feet from Michael Westen's loft exterior. It's the same building, they share the same wall. If you pan the camera from one to the other, there is about 20 feet between the two.
We tried to not get in the way, so we were standing with the crew, near the producer and the director, actually under the tent where the film equipment is kept. They have about four monitors that are watched far from the actual camera filming. It was a scene with Jeffrey Donovan, Sharon Gless and Coby Bell.
