Another water main break, this time in Miami-Dade. A boil water notice hits a hospital
A Tuesday morning water main break at Aventura Hospital has one of the nearby streets blocked, Aventura police said.
Miami-Dade Water & Sewer workers have started work on the break, which has Northeast 209th Street closed from 28th to 29th avenues.
According to the agency, exploratory digging in advance of a Thursday night water main replacement hit the pipe that’ll be replaced.
Only the hospital is under a boil water notice, Water & Sewer said. That likely will be lifted Thursday morning. Water will be shut off to the hospital Thursday night for the replacement of the 12-inch pipe. Then, the hospital will be under another boil water notice.
