Marian and Leo Goldner's marriage has lasted longer than the average human lifespan. Take notes from Leo, who says he knows the secret to his 75-year marriage.
The 95-year-old lovebirds celebrated their big day on July 10 at the Vi at Aventura, a retirement complex where they have lived for 15 years. They hosted 100 friends and family members, and followed it up with a dinner in Miami Beach, Leo said.
Leo met Marian in 1940, when they were just out of high school. He met her at a party, then quickly fell in love. The next day he told his mother he wanted to marry Marian one day.
"I went away to the Army," he said. "When I came back on a three-day break, we got married."

"She lets me make all the big decisions, and she'll solve the little ones."
Marian is a children's book author. All her books are about animals, and she donates the profits to the Toledo Zoo. The proceeds of "Georgie the Jovial Giraffe" paid for the birth of a baby giraffe.
"I tell my wife every morning, 'Good morning' and 'I love you,' " he said. "If you don't do this you're making a big mistake."
