Anyone who lives in Aventura's Turnberry Village, Country Club Estates, Promenade of Aventura and surrounding single-family homes will have to boil their water until further notice.
On Monday, a 16-inch water main broke near the area of 19680 and 20000 East Country Club Drive, forcing the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to interrupt service to make repairs.
The repairs were expected to be completed by Monday evening, but the affected 500-800 residences will be under a Precautionary Boil Water Order until the water is tested and cleared. All water used for drinking or cooking purposes should be boiled before consumption. There is no problem with using the water for bathing and other household needs.
For information, call the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s Communications Center at 305-274-9272, 24 hours a day.
