Bicyclist hit by car in Aventura identified as a 15-year-old
Aventura police on Tuesday identified the bicyclist who was hit by a car Monday evening.
Makar Leontev, 15, remained in critical, but stable condition Tuesday at Aventura Hospital after being hit by a car on the William Lehman Causeway at about 7:30 p.m. Monday night.
Police say Vitor Schwartz Gama was driving a four-door BMW when he struck the right-side wall and then Makar.
The driver stayed on the scene, according to police.
No charges had been filed as of Tuesday.
