Cameras rolling as man robs Subway restaurant
A man walked into a Subway, but he didn't want a sandwich.
Instead, police say, he lifted his shirt, told an employee he had a gun and demanded cash.
The incident happened at about 3 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Subway at 7 NW 54th St.
Surveillance video — which was released Tuesday — shows the man bending over the counter and the employee handing him cash.
The man then walked out with his loot.
The robber is described as a man with a full beard, who is 30 to 35 years old, approximately 5-foot 4-inches to 5-foot 7-inches tall and weighs 200 to 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark colored T-shirt with a “Marilyn Monroe” imprint on it, dark, loose-fitting long shorts, a black baseball cap and sunglasses.
Anyone with information is asked to call Miami Police Department’s Robbery Unit at 305-603-6370 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
