Two major ongoing road projects will slow the commute this week in Miami-Dade County.

Workers are redoing a stretch of Krome Avenue in the westernmost reaches of the county. The work will run from north of Southwest 256th Street to south of Southwest 216th Street at an estimated cost of $969,000, and will take approximately three months to complete. The project includes repaving, installing new signage and paving markings, among other things.

Meanwhile, on State Road 826, the Palmetto Expressway, all northbound lanes will be closed at Northwest 25th Street through Friday between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night so workers can continue work on an elevated truck road along 25th Street.
