Keep the sweaters and jackets handy for the rest of the week.

Sunday’s crisp and cool air, breeze and clear skies are here to stay Monday through Wednesday, with a slight warm-up on Thursday and Friday.

Monday will be partly sunny with a small chance of afternoon showers, with highs in the low-70s and lows in the low-50s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunny with highs in the high-60s and lows in the mid- to high-50s.

The evenings will be blustery, with winds at 11 to 18 mph and gusts as high as 24 mph.

South Florida will end the week with milder weather. Highs will be in the low-70s and lows in the low-60s Thursday and Friday.

“The most common time in South Florida to get these cold outbreaks is the end of January and early February,” National Weather Service meteorologist Chuck Caracozza said.

As cool as it is in South Florida, it’s nothing compared to New York, where a blizzard watch is in effect from Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
