Hit-and-run crash leaves motorized bicycle driver dead
Jorge Vargas was riding along North River Drive on a motorized bicycle when a dark colored pick-up truck hit him and took off, according to police.
Vargas, 61, hit his head on the pavement and later died.
Police on Sunday released surveillance video of the incident that happened at 1 a.m. Friday morning in hopes of finding the driver of what is described as a possible Chevrolet Silverado or a GMC Sierra.
Investigators say the truck was heading eastbound in the area of the 3000 Block of North River Driver when it hit Vargas.
