Free glasses for kids at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital event

Parents can pick up free glasses for children at a community event Saturday morning.

In addition to the free eyewear giveaway, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital will celebrate kids who wear glasses, contacts and eye patches at its National Great Glasses PlayDay. The event starts at 11 a.m. at the hospital, 3100 SW 62nd Ave. Sign up here.

The play day is meant to bring awareness to treatment of vision conditions in kids and is hosted in partnership with Pediatric Ophthalmology Associates and Optiwow.
