New marina opens in North Miami Beach

The Marina Palms Yacht Club has opened at 172nd Street and Biscayne Boulevard. It features 112 wet slips for boats between 40 and 100 feetand drafts of 10 feet. Located in Maule Lake, just off the Intracoastal Waterway, it takes boaters 15 minutes to reach the ocean.

Each slip is wired for high-speed internet service. The marina also has a sundry store and dockside WIFI.

“Premium dock space is very hard to find in South Florida. There hasn’t been a new marina like this built in over 20 years,” said Jim Bronstien of US Marinas, whose company is managing the facility, in a statement.

Marina Palms Yacht Club & Residences includes two luxury condominium towers overlooking the newly constructed marina. About 40 residences remain for sale starting at $950,000.
