Roadwork this week will slow the commute on State Roads 826 and 836, as well as surface roads in Miami-Dade County.
On westbound 836, the entrance ramp from southbound Northwest 45th Avenue will be intermittently closed for work from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night through Thursday and from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
Another ramp closure will take place on eastbound 836 from southbound Northwest 12th Avenue for drainage repairs from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Meanwhile, workers involved in the reconstruction of the massive interchange between 826 and 836 will close lanes on southbound and northbound 826 from south of Northwest 8th to 25th streets between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night through Thursday.

On eastbound and westbound 836, there will be single and double lane closures from Northwest 87th to 57th avenues from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night through Thursday.
Up to two lanes on the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike in either direction between Southwest 216th Street and Eureka Drive may be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday for widening and construction of toll express lanes.
Also on the turnpike, one lane in either direction between Southwest 104th to 184th streets may be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday for widening and express lane work. If necessary, two lanes in each direction may be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. along the same stretch and time period.
On another turnpike stretch, up to two lanes northbound or southbound between Killian Parkway and Kendall Drive will be closed nightly through Thursday, also for widening and express lane work. The first lane closes at 9:30 p.m., and the second at 10:30 p.m. Both lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the next day.
On yet another turnpike stretch, up to two lanes northbound and southbound at various locations may be closed nightly between Southwest 40th to 72nd streets through Thursday. The first lane closes at 9:30 p.m., and the second at 10:30 p.m. Both will reopen by 5 a.m. the next day.
On Old Cutler Road, workers will be widening the bicycle route and building curb and gutters, among other things, from Southwest 63rd Avenue to Cartagena Plaza The work is anticipated to be completed by February.
Meanwhile, there will be a closure of all lanes on Northwest 22nd Avenue between Northwest 9th and 11th streets for bridge demolition from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night through Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday to 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
Another closure of all lanes will take place on Northwest 37th Avenue between Northwest 13th and 14th streets for bridge beam installation from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night through Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday to 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
